Yes, refinancing is possible-and it can save you money. Refinancing means replacing your current loan with a new one, often at a better interest rate or different term.

You might refinance if: your credit score has improved since purchase (better rate), interest rates have dropped overall, you want a shorter loan term to pay off faster, or you want to lower your monthly payment by extending the term.

However, refinancing does have costs-application fees, appraisal fees-so it only makes sense if your savings outweigh those costs. A general rule: refinancing breaks even after 6-12 months of savings.

Bareford GMC's Finance Department can discuss whether refinancing makes sense in your situation, even if your loan is with another lender. We can also help if you'd like to explore new options.

To talk through the numbers, call (804) 445-2810. Our team will review your current loan, show you potential savings, and help you decide if it's worth it.
