## Pre-Winter Checklist

**Battery & Electrical**
Cold reduces battery power by up to 50%. Have yours tested; consider replacement if it's 3+ years old.

**Tires**
Winter tires provide superior grip in snow and ice versus all-season tires. All-seasons harden below 45F, losing traction. Check tread depth and pressure (cold air contracts, lowering PSI).

**Fluids**
Ensure your engine coolant has the right freeze protection for your region. Windshield washer should be rated for sub-zero temps.

**Brakes, Wipers & Lights**
Snow and ice demand reliable stopping power. Fresh wipers and functioning headlights are safety essentials.

**Undercarriage**
Salt and sand corrode metal. Rustproofing or an underbody wash helps protect your GMC.
