After you close on your vehicle, Bareford GMC helps you navigate registration and titling. The title transfers ownership to you; registration lets you legally drive it. Virginia's requirements are straightforward, and our finance team guides you through each step.

**What we handle**
Our finance department completes the dealer side of the paperwork and submits your vehicle information to Virginia's DMV (or your home state if you're out of state). You'll receive instructions on final registration steps, fees, and any documents you need to sign.

**Timing and temporary tags**
You'll receive temporary tags so you can drive home right away while permanent plates process through the DMV-usually within weeks. Keep temporary tags visible and follow the posted dates.

**Next step**
During your closing appointment, ask our finance team to walk you through the exact timeline and documents you'll need. Call (804) 445-2810 if questions arise after purchase.
